Wasserman Schultz Introduces Bill To Visit Migrant Centers Without Notice

A South Florida congresswoman wants to get inside the Homestead facility for unaccompanied minors and other facilities similar to it, whenever she wants.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has filed a bill that would give congress members power to walk into migrant centers without advanced notice.

Currently federal law requires they provide the facilities 48 hour notice.

She says her bill, co-sponsored by Frederica Wilson, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, and Donna Shalala, is all about oversight.
