The Detroit Lions (5-2) defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2) 24-9 on Monday Night Football in Detroit. It was just the second loss of the season for the Buccaneers.
The Lions scored on the first drive and led throughout the game. Baker Mayfield went 28-for-50with 228 yards passing, one touchdown and one interception.
The big story in this one was Mike Evans, who finished the game without a catch and was injured in the first half. He left the game with a concussion and was diagnosed with a broken clavicle - head coach Todd Bowles said after the game is is going to be gone until "towards the last of the season."
The Buccaneers look to bounce back when they go to New Orleans to take on the Saints on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff Sunday is scheduled for 4:05 PM - you can hear the game on 97.9 WXTB-FM - The Mighty 98 Rock.
