The Minnesota Wild (5-0-2) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (4-3-0) 4-2 on Thursday night at Amalie Arena in the first game of a three-game homestand for Tampa Bay.
The Lightning got goals from Brandon Hagel and Nikita Kucherov in the second period to take a 2-1 lead. Minnesota tied the game later in the second period before scoring twice in the third period to earn the win.
The Lightning now host the Washington Capitals in the second game of a three-game homestand coming up on Saturday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Capitals is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Saturday night at Amalie Arena.
