Perry Snaps Scoreless Drought As Bolts Blank Flyers 4-0

@jayRecher

That HAD to feel good.

In his 18th game with Tampa Bay, Corey Perry - he of the 386 goals coming into tonight's game - finally was able to find the back of the net as the Lightning defeated the visiting Philadelphia Flyers 4-0 on Tuesday night at Amalie Arena.

Perry's goal was the third of the night for the Bolts & came on a delayed penalty call on Philadelphia. After the veteran winger snapped one over the glove of Flyers netminder Carter Hart, a sense of relief came over his face & a visible display of joy came over the faces of his Lightning teammates.

Zach Bogosian, Steven Stamkos & Alex Barre-Boulet also scored for Tampa Bay and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 34 saves for his first shutout of the season and 27th of his career.

Stamkos chipped in with two assists for a three-point night.

Bogosian - who earlier in the day let the Tampa media know that the team's Thanksgiving feast would be at this house on Thursday (video below) - opened up the scoring at the 2:28 mark of the first when he ripped a one-timer from the left point past Hart to put the Lightning up 1-0.

Stamkos doubled the Lightning lead at the 6:43 mark of the 2nd period after Bogosian snuck in from the point and nearly scored his second of the night. The Captain found a loose puck to the right of Hart and buried it to make it 2-0 Bolts.

Barre-Boulet scored his second in as many games, and third of the season, at the 7:26 mark of the 3rd period.

Hart made 31 saves for the Flyers in defeat.
