The Tampa Bay Lightning (28-11-2) shut out the Nashville Predators (22-19-1) 3-0 on Saturday night in Nashville.
The Lightning got the scoring started when Ross Colton scored at the 6:45 mark of the first period. In the second period, Erik Cernak added a goal at the 14:04 mark to make it 2-0. Yanni Gourde added an empty net goal late to clinch the victory for Tampa Bay.
Andrei Vasilevskiy was sensational in this game, saving all 36 shots on net to pick up the shutout win.
The Lightning wrap up the road trip when they meet Nashville again on Tuesday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:00 PM Tuesday - pregame coverage begins at 7:30 PM on News Radio WFLA.
