Lightning Snap Losing Skid, Rally For 3-2 Win Over Blue Jackets

The Tampa Bay Lightning (25-9-2) defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets (14-16-8) 3-2 on Thursday night at Amalie Arena.

After Brayden Point scored in the first period, Zach Werenski scored to tie the game for Columbus in the second period. In the third period Eric Robinson gave the Blue Jackets a 2-1 lead, but the Lightning had an answer. Ross Colton tied the game at the 14:49 mark - then, just over a minute later, it would be Brayden Point scoring his second goal of the game to give the Lightning a 3-2 lead they would not relinquish. Andrei Vasilevskiy got the win in net, converting 31 saves on 33 attempts in net.

The Lightning are back in action on Saturday when they battle the Red Wings - puck drop is scheduled for 1 PM, with pregame coverage beginning at high noon on News Radio WFLA.
