A Florida Man attempted to shoplift from a clothing store in Lauderdale Lakes, but he ran into an obstacle as he tried to leave the store - the door was locked.
According to Broward County police, the man arrived at the store at around 8:15pm, shopped for about 30 minutes, and then tried to flee.
Since the store was getting ready to close, employees had locked the door.
The man can be seen on surveillance video kicking the door as he tried to escape. He dropped the clothing and demanded that the employees open the door for him. He then managed to get it open himself, and instead of leaving, he shoved an employee, picked up the clothing he wanted to steal, and got away.
Police say he stole over $200 worth of merchandise and they are seeking the public's help identifying him.
