The actor, Simon Shelton Barnes who played the Purple Teletubbie, Tinky Winky has unexpectedly passed away at age 52
His Family pays tribute to father-of-three who had trained to become a ballet dancer before joining the Teletubbies show.
Tinky Winky was best known for always carrying a handbag in the BBC Children's show.
Mr Barnes said the sexuality of the character was constantly a question he was asked because of Tinky Winky's penchant for hand bags.
Although Barnes was not the ORIGINAL Tinky Winky, he did play the character on the BBC Show from 1998 to 2001.
