Where To Donate Unused Irma Supplies

We know a lot of people are wondering what they should do with their Hurricane Irma supplies they didn't end up using. Instead of returning them or throwing them away, here is a list of places accepting donations. They are all in need of these supplies to help the residents in those places that were heavily impacted by Irma. Especially non-perishable foods and water.


Needed Supplies:

Canned, ready-to-eat items with pull tops (i.e. vegetables, fruit, etc)

Protein in pouches or pull top-cans (i.e. tuna, beef stew, chili, canned chicken)

Snacks (i.e. granola bars, breakfast bars, etc)

Peanut butter

ToiletriesPaper good

Diapers

Cleaning supplies (i.e. mops, mop buckets, brooms, bleach wipes, bleach, garbage bags, bug spray)

Metropolitan Ministries: The organization is open to the public at both of its locations with food boxes, water, hygiene items and clothing. They are onsite in Tampa with a canteen truck and serving hot meals. The Tampa location does not have power at the moment.

St. Vincent de Paul

Donation stations are accepting emergency supplies and non-perishable goods until noon on Thursday, September 14:

Tampa Bay Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays will be hosting a Feeding Tampa Bay Food Drive, supported by First Class Moving, all weekend. Fans who donate unopened cans and non-perishable food items will receive a voucher for two complimentary tickets to a 2018 Rays home game (some exclusions apply). 

Items of greatest need include: canned, ready-to-eat items with pull-tops (e.g. vegetables, fruit); protein in pouches or pull-top cans (e.g. tuna, beef stew, chili, canned chicken); snacks (e.g. protein bars, granola bars, etc.); peanut butter; toiletries, paper goods, diapers; and cleaning supplies (e.g. mops, mop buckets, brooms, bleach wipes, bleach, garbage bags, bug spray).

Donations can be dropped off to collection areas outside of Gate 1, inside Gate 1 and inside Gate 3. Rays Season Ticket Holders will also have a special collection area inside the Republic Bank Draft Room. Season Ticket Holders who donate in the Draft Room will receive Rays Rewards Points.
