Tampa fire crews were called to 1512 East 8th Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. They found heavy smoke and flames coming from the building. Firefighters were able to put out the blaze and keep it from spreading in the old facility. The resort is currently closed so no one was inside. Investigators determined someone entered the building and set several fires, causing moderate smoke and fire damage. Damage to the building is estimated at $100,000.
