The Tampa Bay Rays (90-59) defeated the Houston Astros (75-75) 14-4 on Sunday afternoon at Tropicana Field. With the win, the Rays became the first American League team with 90 wins on the season.
The Rays out-hit the Astros 15-4 in this one, led by Jonathan Aranda hitting two home runs and Victor Mesa going 3-for-5 with two RBIs and a triple. Freddy Peralta (9-11, 4.67) got the win after pitching five no-hit innings while striking out four and walking three.
