The Tampa Bay Rays (35-19) defeated the Los Angeles Angels (22-36) 8-5 on Friday night at Tropicana Field. With the win, the Rays snapped their losing skid at four games.
Yandy Diaz hit two home runs to help power the offense. Trailing the game 2-1 in the seventh inning, the Rays offense erupted with seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take control of this game en route to the 8-5 win.
The Rays will look to make it two in a row when they meet the Angles in the second game of the series on Saturday. First pitch Saturday is scheduled for 4:10 PM - pregame coverage begins at 3:30 PM on 95.7 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
