The Tampa Bay Rays (31-15) blew out the Baltimore Orioles (21-27) 16-6 on Monday night at Tropicana Field. It is the first time in three years the Rays have reached 16 games over .500.
Yandy Diaz led the Rays offense going 4-for-5 with four RBIs and four runs scored, while Junior Caminero went 2-for-4 with a homer, four runs driven in and three runs scored. Ryan Vilade also had a perfect night at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs driven in and a run scored - all told the Ryas finished with 18 hits. Shane McClanahan (5-2, 2.82) got the win allowing four earned runs on six hits in five innings of work in which he struck out six and walked two.
