Rays Win Series Against Marlins

The Tampa Bay Rays (30-15) defeated the Miami Marlins (21-26) 6-3 on Sunday afternoon at Tropicana Field. With the win, the Rays have won the series against their in-state rival and are the first American League team to thirty wins.

Trailing 2-1 after three innings, the Rays came through big in the fourth inning when Taylor Walls hit a three-run triple that gave the Rays a lead they would not give back. Yandy Diaz and Junior Caminero both added home runs in this game as the Rays were able to add on. Drew Rasmussen (4-1, 3.19) got the win after allowing two earned runs on seven hits in five and one-third innings of work.

The Rays remain at home when they host the Baltimore Orioles for a three-game series beginning on Monday night. First pitch on Monday is scheduled for 6:40 PM - pregame coverage begins with Ronnie Lane hosting Inside Pitch at 5:30 PM on 95.7 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
