The Minnesota Twins (3-4) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (2-5) 10-4 on Friday evening in Minneapolis. For the Twins, they came away with a win in their Home Opener of the 2026 season.
Nick Fortes drove in two with a double in the first before Ben Williamson hit a RBI double in the fourth to build a 3-0 lead. The Twins scored three in the fourth and seven in the seventh to take control of the game en route to a 10-4 win.
The Rays and Twins now meet in the middle game of their three-game series on Saturday night. First pitch from Minneapolis is scheduled for 7:10 PM - Chris Adams-Wall begins pregame coverage at 6:30 PM on 95.7 WDAE & AM 620.
