The Tampa Bay Lightning (33-14-4) shut out the Utah Mammoth (27-21-4) 2-0 on Monday night at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa.
Andrei Vasilevskiy made 28 saves to earn the shutout. For Vasy, it was his second of the season and 42nd in the NHL. Darren Raddysh got the only goal the Lightning would need on the power play at the 17:38 mark of the second period. Anthony Cirelli added a power play goal with less than a minute to go to make it a 2-0 final score.
The Lightning are next in action when they host the Winnipeg Jets on January 29th. Puck drop between the Lightning and Jets is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Thursday night at Benchmark International Arena.
