The Florida Gators (3-7, 2-5 SEC) fell to 7th-ranked Ole Miss (10-1, 6-1 SEC) 34-24 on Saturday night in Oxford, Mississippi. With the loss, the Gators will now miss a bowl game for the second time in three seasons.
DJ Lagway went 16-for-31 with 218 yards, one touchdown and one intcertiption in the losing effort - he added another 34 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The Gators led this game 24-20 at halftime, and that would be the score going into the fourth quarter. Ole Miss scored a touchdown three-seconds into the fourth quarter to take the lead, then added another with 1:43 to go in the game to clinch the win.
The Gators are next in action when they host the 23rd-ranked Tennessee Volunters on Saturday November 22nd.
