The USF Bulls (5-1, 2-0 AAC) defeated North Texas (5-1, 1-1 AAC) 63-36 on Friday night in Denton, Texas. With the win, the Bulls handed North Texas their first loss of the season and are 2-0 in conference play for just the seventh time in school history.
The Bulls fell behind early after turning the ball over three times in the first quarter - UNT led 14-7 at the end of the first quarter. The Bulls tied the game 21-21 with two seconds to go in the second quarter to go into halftime all tied up.
The Bulls erupted with 28 points in the third quarter to take control of the game. Byrum Brown went 22-for-28 with 245 yards passing, throwing for three touchdowns and an interception - he added another 82 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The Bulls run game finished with 306 total yards.
The Bulls are next in action when they host Florida Atlantic next Saturday- kickoff from Raymond James Stadium is scheduled for 7:30 PM on October 18.
