Rays Take Opener From White Sox

The Tampa Bay Rays (72-72) defeated the Chicago White Sox (55-90) 5-4 on Tuesday night in Chicago to snap their losing skid at three games.

After the White Sox got a run in the first inning, the Rays answered in the third inning. Josh Lowe hit a two-run homer and Chandler Simpson drove in a run to take a 3-1 lead. Richie Palacois homered in the fourth to give the Rays a 4-1 advantage.

The White Sox got three back in the sixth inning to tie the game 4-4, before Tristan Gray hit a solo homer in the seventh inning that would give the Rays a 5-4 lead which would prove to be the final score.

The Rays will now try to win the series against the White Sox when they meet in the middle game on Wednesday night. First pitch Wednesday is scheduled for 7:40 PM - pregame coverage begins with the Inside Pitch at 6:30 PM on 95.3 WDAE & AM 620, your Home of Rays Baseball.
