Guardians Snap Rays Streak At Seven

The Cleveland Guardians (69-71) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (71-70) 7-1 on Friday evening at Steinbrenner Field to snap the Rays winning streak at seven games.

Cleveland got to Ian Seymour for five runs in the second inning to take control of the game. He finished the game allowing those five runs (only one of them earned) on five hits in four innings of work in which he struck out five and walked two.

The Rays only offense of the night came in the bottom of the sixth when Junior Caminero hit a solo home run, his 41st homer of the season.
