The Tampa Bay Rays (66-69) defeated the Washington Nationals (53-82) 4-1 on Saturday afternoon in Washington. The Rays have now won the series after winning the first two game of the interleague series.
Josh Lowe hit two home runs to key the Rays offense - a three-run homer in the first and a solo shot in the fourth. Ryan Pepiot (10-10, 3.70) picked up the win allowing just one hit in five shutout innings in which he struck out six and walked three.
