Giants Salvage Series Finale

The San Francisco Giants (60-64) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (61-64) 7-1 on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco to salvage the series finale after dropping the first two games.

This game was a pitching duel through five runs before San Francisco erupted with four runs with two outs in the sixth inning to take control of the game. They added two runs in the seventh and one in the eighth to keep the game out of reach. The Rays only offense came Hunter Feduccia scored on a throwing error by the Giants in the eighth inning.

The Rays now return home after the two-week West Coast trip and are off Monday before hosting the Yankees for a short two-game series on Tuesday night.
