NewsNation will host a special town hall event titled "The First 100 Days" on Wednesday (April 30) at 8 p.m. ET, featuring President Donald Trump. The event will be moderated by anchor Chris Cuomo, with contributions from authors and commentators Bill O’Reilly and Stephen A. Smith. The town hall will include a live phone interview with President Trump, offering insights into his administration's first 100 days in office.
The town hall will be simulcast live on iHeartRadio stations throughout Florida, including WFLA (Tampa), WIOD (Miami), WFLF (Orlando) and WJNO (West Palm Beach). The event will originate from New York City and will feature members of the Trump administration, including Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., alongside Democratic Party leaders and notable guests like former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
According to NewsNation, the town hall will be held in front of a live studio audience composed of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. Prior to the event, a one-hour live preshow titled "Countdown to the Town Hall" will be hosted by NewsNation Now’s Anna Kooiman. This special program will feature political editor Chris Stirewalt and The Hill’s Blake Burman, and will include the release of an exclusive poll by Decision Desk HQ on Americans' views of President Trump's first 100 days.
The Hill reports that President Trump is engaging in a media blitz to mark his first 100 days in office, including a speech in Michigan and a prime-time interview with ABC News. Despite facing low approval ratings, President Trump expressed confidence in his administration's achievements, stating, "We’ve had a very successful presidency in 100 days."
