The Texas Rangers (8-2) defeated the Tampa Bay Rays (4-5) 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in Arlington, Texas. With the win, the Rays were swept in the first series of 2025.
The Rangers built leads of 1-0 and 3-1 but both times the Rays were able to rally to tie the game. Tied 3-3 in the ninth inning, Jonah Heim hit a RBI single to center that lifted the Rangers to the walk-off victory.
The Rays are now off on Monday before returning home to host the Los Angeles Angels for a three-game series beginning on Tuesday night.
