UCF Survives USF In Final War on I-4

The 22nd ranked UCF Knights (9-3, 6-2) defeated the USF Bulls (1-11, 0-8) 46-39 on Saturday evening at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

It looked like this game would be a blowout early, as UCF took a 28-0 lead midway through the second quarter. The Bulls would rally in the second half, taking a 39-38 lead with 7:02 to go in the fourth quarter.

However, Alex Holler pulled in a controversial 14-yard touchdown with twenty seconds to go to give the Knights a 46-39 lead. That would be the final score as the Bulls Hail Mary attempt fell short on the final play and the Knights held on for the win.

Freshman quarterback Byrum Brown went 13-for-20 with 140 yards passing, throwing one touchdown and one interception. He ran for another 109 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Brian Battie had a spectacular night running for the Bulls, rushing for a game best 144 yards and a touchdown.

The Bulls finish the season with a record of 1-11 and looking for a new head football coach after they fired head coach Jeff Scott on November 6th. Keep it locked to 95.3 WDAE & AM 620 for the latest Bulls news all offseason long.
