Coca Cola, Sprite and Minute Maid Recall

There is a Coca-Cola recall involving Coca-Cola and Sprite soda cans that contain an undisclosed foreign matter according to a Department of Defense All Food and Drug Activity message that was issued on November 24th. This recall has not shown up on the FDA recall list at time of publish and has only shown up in the memo from the Department of Defense and appears to only affect a small portion of product that was distributed to Armed Forces Commissary locations.

Check your Coca-Cola and Sprite products to see if you have any that are subject to recall:

  • Coca-Cola 12 ounce cans: Date Code: AUG 1522 WM B
  • Coca-Cola 12 ounce cans: Date Code: AUG 1522 WM C
  • Sprite 12 ounce cans: Date Code: AUG 1522 WM B

The Coca-Cola and Sprite canned products listed above expire in 2022 and were sold in Armed Forces Commissary locations in various Southeastern states.

The Minute Maid recall involved the following flavors:

  • Berry Punch – Date codes Jan0422 NP and Jan0522 NP, Batch 0010323455 and 0010259344 (recall F-0276-2022)
  • Strawberry Lemonade – Date code: Jan0322 NP, Batch: 0010259346 (recall F-0277-2022)
  • Fruit Punch – Date Code: JAN0522 NP Batch: 0010323454 (recall F-0278-2022)

The Minute Maid drinks were available in Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, North Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Maine and New Jersey, according to the Food and Drug Administration

The Coca-Cola and Sprite canned products listed above expire in 2022 and were sold in Armed Forces Commissary locations in various Southeastern states.

According to the notice, Coca-Cola stated "A representative of Coca-Cola will visit your outlet as soon as possible to remove any product carrying the Date Code mentioned below. Any identified product will be removed from your store shelves and full credit will be initiated at that time."

If you purchased the Coca-Cola and Sprite cans specified in the recall please return the products for a full refund or discard them.
