One Arrested, 3 Sought After Invading Wrong House in Central Florida

DAVENPORT, FL -- Polk sheriff's deputies have found one man and are looking for three others suspected in a home invasion, that ended up in the wrong house.

Sheriff Grady Judd says that back on November 5th, Justin Jackson, 28, and three other men forced their way into a home on Deer Run Road in Davenport, and pointed a gun at the people who lived there. Those included two adults and five children, aged four to 14 years old. One of the adults got pistol whipped. As that was happening, one of the suspects got on the phone and was heard to say "I think we've got the wrong house."

"These ding-a-lings got the wrong house! They're not going to be considered for a prize and (shouldn't be) delivering packages," Judd said.

The sheriff added that the victims had no criminal record and there were no drugs or money in the house. The crooks' total haul consisted of a video game.

Judd says the invaders got away in a 2020 Nissan Sentra, and that Jackson was the driver. He describes the other suspects as black men, between 5'9" and six feet in height.

The sheriff adds that Jackson is not talking. He hopes that anyone who has information on the other suspects will call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS.
