The Palm Beach County School Board will vote to finalize plans to make interim-Superintendent Michael Burke the permanent Superintendent.
Members voted unanimously two weeks ago to look toward this move and at Wednesday's meeting they'll be voting on forgoing a nationwide search and working up a contract for Burke.
Burke has been with the district for more than 23 years. He was previously the district’s chief financial officer before being appointed as interim.
The School Board meeting is open to the public at the school district headquarters along Forest Hill Boulevard and gets underway at 5 p.m.
