Woman Suffers Soul-Crushing Loss On 'The Price Is Right'

There have been some awkward moments on The Price Is Right - like the time a contestant was brought to the ground by the big wheel, or when a woman was told to "come on down" while she was in the bathroom, or when a contestant embarrassingly tried to shake host Drew Carey's hand at the end of a show only to be continually ignored. However what happened on a recent episode is so cringe-worthy, so heartbreaking, so soul-crushing that after it went down, Drew said, "That's gonna be on YouTube, on the Internet forever."

It all took place during the Showcase Showdown, when contestants try to give the closest estimate of the value of the prizes offered to them without guessing a number more than that price. A man named Robert found out that he grossly underbid his showcase and was off by a whopping $6,083. The likelihood of him walking off with the SUV and trip to Alaska he was gunning for was incredibly slim. Then Drew moved over to Jennifer. She had bid $23,294 for a video camera, a home theater and a Nissan Versa. Drew slowly revealed the actual cost of her showcase and the results will haunt you.

She was off by only $3. All Carey could do was suggest to the crestfallen Jennifer to find some comfort food like ice cream, but it seems unlikely even the best tasting treats can help her recover from something this tragic.
