Imeria Price (Kobe’s Mom) joined AM Tampa Bay to discuss the Tampa community is invited to wear red and attend the “Kobe Day” Drive-Thru Swabbing Event at WestShore Plaza on Friday, Feb. 12 and Sat., Feb. 13.
Jakobe “Kobe” Washington is an 8-year-old from Punta Gorda, Florida who was diagnosed last summer with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Kobe’s leukemia can be cured by a blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant, but he currently does not have any matching donors in his family or on the Be The Match Registry®.
