Man Accused of Flying Drone in Tampa Super Bowl No-Fly Zone

TAMPA -- The feds have been warning people around Tampa for days about flying drones in restricted airspace during Super Bowl week. Now they've announced criminal charges for an Orlando man.

The U-S Attorney's Office says 33-year-old Henry Jimenez sent a drone over the Super Bowl Experience at Julian B. Lane Park Wednesday. They say Jimenez is a licensed drone pilot who knew about the no-fly zone. The feds say he flew over the park and over a downtown hotel, and over vehicles, as well as failing to maintain a line of sight to the drone.

He could face up to a year in prison if convicted.
