Tampa Super Bowl Prep Issues: COVID-19 and Neutrality

TAMPA -- NFL officials held a news conference Tuesday to update reporters on preparations for Super Bowl 55, February 7th at Raymond James Stadium.

The NFL says it's confident about its COVID-19 protocols.

Fans and staff at the game will each receive a KN95 mask, hand sanitizer, bacterial wipes and health cards.

Another issue for the big game is how to make Raymond James Stadium remains a neutral site even though it's the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' home. Officials say the league hasn't decided to allow the cannon fire that typically follows a score, although they say any sort of display would have to be even-handed for both teams. The Bucs will be the first team to play a Super Bowl in their home staidum when they face the Kansas City Chiefs.
