TAMPA -- The Tampa Bay Lightning will hoist their Stanley Cup championship banner Wednesday night at Amalie Arena, before launching their 2021 season against the Chicago Blackhawks.
But no fans will be in attendance because of the pandemic, so , the Bolts are raising replica banners all around the Tampa Bay area Wednesday, giving groups such as first responders and health providers a chance to participate.
Locations include: the St Petersburg Pier and Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Tampa General Hospital, Armature Works, the downtown Tampa fire station on Zack Street, the Tampa Riverwalk, and AdventHealth hospital on Bruce B Downs. Most of these showings are open to select groups, not the general public.
