13 Arrested in Polk Child Porn Roundup

WINTER HAVEN -- "So this time we get a high school coach, a youth minister, a youth football coach, a lifeguard and military veterans... all deviants."

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd described the 13 men arrested during his latest sweep against those who possess and share child pornography, "Operation Guardians of the Innocence VI", carried out by undercover detectives during November and December.

This time, the suspects ranged in age from 20 to 47.

Judd said the victims depicted and abused in the images ranged from 12 year olds, down to small children, toddlers, and babies. The acts depicted, as described by Judd, are in many instances too vile to be repeated in an article meant for a general audience.

The sheriff told reporters one suspect, identified as Kevin Woods of Polk City, said to deputies they shouldn't put him in jail because he would "eat people's faces off." He was incarcerated anyway and jail deputies have been cautioned about the potential for violence.

Another suspect actually served as a lifeguard, employed by the Department of the Army, at a hotel serving military families on Walt DIsney World property.

The youngest person arrested was 20-years-old, while the oldest was 47-years-old. Collectively, they face more than 2,300 charges, and it would take millions to bail them all out. Additional charges are possible as detectives continue searching the men's electronics.

Here are the names and details on those arrested, from the Polk County Sheriff:
