PHILIPPINE SEA (Aug. 31, 2020) Landing signalman Boatswain’s Mate 2nd Class Logan Ribble, from Oldsmar, Fla., clears a CH-53 E Super Stallion helicopter with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) for take-off from the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42). Germantown, part of America Expeditionary Strike Group, 31st MEU team is operating in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners, and serves as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
