A man from Michigan was fined $1500 for climbing Mount Rushmore.
The climber was spotted early this month, climbing Mt.Rushmore on George Washington and sliding down a cliff.
The authorities tracked him down because he was creating hazardous conditions by climbing unsafe areas.
The man pleaded guilty to the charges, and prosecutors dismissed the disorderly conduct charges and violating an area closure.
