Ashly Anderson, Director of Marketing and Design, Tampa Downtown Partnership, joined AM Tampa Bay to discuss "Lift Up Luck" Downtown's First Intersection Mural.
On March 23rd, a mural commissioned by the Tampa Downtown Partnership to enhance and beautify the Downtown and improve intersection safety was painted at the intersection of Franklin and Twiggs.
The design was created by local artist Meaghan Farrell Scalise of Tada!
The artwork is titled "Lift Up Luck" it's blending of an homage to Tampa's history along with the uplifting spirit of resiliency during the COVID-19 crisis.
In conjunction with the City of Tampa's Lift Up Local and Vision Zero initiates, street murals are a way to celebrate the unique aspects of neighborhoods, strengthen community bonds, and improve the safety and livability for our communities.
This is the first intersection mural in Tampa's Downtown.
