Florida Man Arrested for Stealing 66 Rolls of Toilet Paper From a Hotel

Authorities arrested an Orlando man for attempting to steal 66 rolls of toilet paper from a Marriott Hotel that he worked at.

Investigators say a security guard saw 31-year-old Angel Hernandezcinto pushing a hotel trash can to his car, then emptying bags from it into the vehicle. The guard approached the car to inspect and saw through the window that the bag was full of hotel toilet paper rolls. When Hernandezcinto came back out, he admitted to taking the 66 rolls of toilet paper, valued at $0.99 each.

Hernandezcinto told the guard that he had no intention to sell the rolls, but that he wanted to help and friend who was poor and jobless. He had access to toilet paper because he is a cleaner at the hotel.

Deputies said that he was charged with theft from a public lodging establishment.
