Tito's Warns Drinkers Not to Use Vodka as a Hand Sanitizer

The scare of catching the coronavirus has sent people into panic mode to get cleaning products and hand sanitizer to ensure they are virus-free.

However, with this hygiene spark, there is not much left at stores or online.

There have been reports of price gouging on Amazon and eBay, so people are coming up with new ways to stay clean, including using vodka as a hand sanitizer.

According to the New York Post, "The Tito's official Twitter account has been painstakingly responding to tweets one-by-one from fans who seem to believe that since the recipe for DIY sanitizer calls for isopropyl alcohol, the ingredient can be replaced with vodka."

Tito's Twitter has been responding to tweets one by one warning them Tito's Homemade Vodka is only 40% alcohol, and the CDC recommends that your hand sanitizer needs to contain at least 60% alcohol to kill the virus.
