Straz Center’s Arts Legacy: REMIX

Dr. Sybil Johnson (who will portray Madame Fortune Taylor at the event) and Fred Johnson artist in residence at Straz Center joined AM Tampa Bay to discuss the Straz Center’s Arts Legacy: REMIX.

The Tampa community contains a wealth of cultures and talented people.

The Straz for Arts Legacy: REMIX is where singers, dancers and musicians from our own backyard come together in these special, FREE performances.

Friday, Jan. 17, 2020 - Arts Legacy REMIX: MLK Commemoration: Power of Storytelling

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. moved a generation with the power of oratory and inspired each generation thereafter with his legacy of truth-to-power. This testimony to his gifts features several of the Tampa area’s own storytellers and spoken word artists in homage to the great Dr. King.
