'Invisibility Cloak' That Could Be Used for Troops Might Soon Be a Reality

You may remember the "Invisibility Cloak" from the Harry Potter series that made people disappear when they put it on. 

A Canadian company called camouflage manufacturer called "Hyperstealth Biotechnology" has recently applied for patents on its 'Quantum Stealth' material.

According to the Telegraph, "The 'inexpensive and paper-thin' technology works by bending light around a target to either alter its position or make it vanish altogether, leaving only the background visible."

The material will also be used to ground troops and, even in some cases, entire buildings from specific viewpoints.
