Steve Griggs, Tampa Bay Lightning CEO, joined AM Tampa Bay to discuss that the Tampa Bay Lightning will be participating in a random “Strikes of Kindness Day” across Tampa Bay and the surrounding counties today.
"Strikes Of kindness Day" is happening because the Lightning got a $100,000 franchise bonus from the NHL for winning the Presidents’ Trophy.
The Lightning was the league’s top team during the regular season in 2018-19 and all the money will be donated back into the Tampa Bay community.
Lightning players, coaches, broadcasters, alumni and employees will be volunteering at different locations around the seven-county Tampa Bay area.
