Reviews.org did a study on the best college town in every state.
Gainesville ranked as the best college town in Florida for the 2019-2020 school year.
The researches gathered a list of college towns with less than 250,00 people are used date from the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
They analyzed the population, student population, rental costs, college education rates, transportation access, unemployment rates, and bar availability.
I may be biased since I went to the University of Florida and Santa Fe College but honestly can say it's one the best places to attend college.
I mean you have Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, aka 'the Swamp' in your backyard which to me is one of the best places in the world.
Gainesville has a little of everything nature, small-town feel, a fun bars scene, and is the heart of the Gator nation family.
