CEO Spotlight: Happy's Home Center

How would you describe what your company does to a friend or family member who may not know?

Happy's Home Centers provide furniture solutions through multiple brands.

Our original brand, Happy's, specializes in furniture and appliance rentals to every day consumers. Happy's has 14 retail locations and is the fastest growing lease purchase brand in Florida.

Dwell Home Staging helps sellers and real estate professionals sell their homes faster and for more. Dwell specializes in mid-to-high-range listings throughout Greater Tampa Bay. Our team was recently featured on HGTV.

Both of our brands focus on providing outstanding customer service with fast delivery, competitive pricing, and friendly service.

What was the most exciting thing to happen at or to your company last year?

We acquired a 26,000-square-foot facility in the Gandy business district. This new facility serves as both our corporate headquarters, training center, and the home for our new furniture subscription concept launching later this year.

As one of the fastest-growing companies in the area, what's the secret to your growth? Or in other words, how did you do it?

We've done a great job attracting, retaining, and promoting hard working individuals that want to be a part of something special.

Our three core values are "humble, hungry, and honest." When we talk about "hungry," it's someone that wants to improve themselves and help build something special. We've recently invested more energy into developing a great training program so we can help new Hapsters gain independence faster than ever.

What is your No. 1 priority for the year ahead?

We are launching our new furniture subscription service, Sota Loft, in September. Sota Loft will be a new way to acquire furniture whether you need it for a month or a lifetime. The furniture is curated by our team of designers to make sure your home is fresh and on trend. The furniture subscription model is blossoming across the country and we are excited about bringing it to Tampa Bay.
