Some Restaurants In US Are Selling Fake Guacamole

Restaurants in California and Texas are serving customers guacamole made with avocado substitutes, and people are NOT happy.

Whether you order guacamole as an appetizer or aside, it's usually not cheap.

So when people found out that their guac might be fake, the internet freaked out.

According to Insider, "One restaurant is offering "mockamole" made of "broccoli, green peas, and other green veggies."

Apparently the "mockamole" craze is due to rising avocado prices.

Summer squash is also added to some guacamole recipes.
