NORFOLK, Va. – A Tampa, Florida, native and 2003 Hillsborough High School graduate is serving in the U.S. Navy aboard the service’s newest aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford.
Petty Officer 1st Class Jonathan Pankau is a mass communication specialist aboard the carrier homeported in Norfolk, Virginia. As a Navy mass communication specialist, Pankau is responsible for telling the story of the ship and its sailors.
