State Supreme Court Upholds Broward Sheriff's Suspension

TALLAHASSEE (WFLA News) -- The Florida Supreme Court has upheld the governor's suspension of former Broward sheriff Scott Israel.

The court's ruling says Ron DeSantis has clear authority to suspend Israel, and it only needs to ensure that the allegations are reasonably related to the case.

Israel sued after the governor removed him from office, following the mass shootings at Stoneman Douglas High School and the Fort Lauderdale airport.
