CEO Spotlight: Eat Right

About Cam Fulks - Co-Founder and CEO

As a Florida native, I attended Boca Ciega High School in St Petersburg. I was moved by the events of 9/11 to serve my country and enlisted in the United States Army after graduating. I was stationed in Hawaii before being deployed to Iraq for 14 months at only 19 years old. This experience in the Armed Forces was poignant in shaping my character and ambition.

Upon my honorable discharge, I enrolled at the University of Tampa to pursue a degree in marketing. As a student, I founded an event marketing company that would flourish for the next ten years. With my success as an entrepreneur in events and hospitality, I found myself working odd hours. With my busy schedule, I developed terrible eating habits and ate unhealthy foods in generous portion sizes. 10 years after being discharged from the army, I had gained 100 pounds! I knew I had to change my life through my diet.

With the rise in meal plan popularity I sought out the best meal plan delivery I could find to get my eating habits and health back in check. To my disappointment, the food was lackluster, the delivery options were inconvenient, and there was no customization based on tastes and needs. Because I wasn’t the bodybuilding fanatic most meal plan companies cater to, I felt as though there was room in the Tampa market for a meal plan company that makes fresh, delicious, healthy meals with delivery options suited for busy lives. Eat Right was born from this thought. With the help of Eat Right, I have lost 53 pounds!

In sharing my story, I hope to motivate others to take control of their health and fitness. It’s never too late to change your habits and improve how you look, and most importantly, how you feel. My journey is not over, and I aspire to continue improving my life and the lives of others.
