Riverview Man Charged With Neglect After Horses Abandoned, One Died

RIVERVIEW, FL (WFLA News) -- Hillsborough deputies arrested a Riverview man over the care of two horses. They arrived at a home on Adventure Drive and found two full grown horses in a suburban backyard, 40 by 40 feet. One horse was dead, the other needed medical care.

Deputies arrested David Middleton, 60, after a veterinarian checked out the horses. He's charged with two counts of animal abandonment. The surviving horse is getting medical care and handlers say it's doing much better. (See video below.)
