Testimony continues in Jonchuck trial--juror dismissed

The latest disruption in the Pinellas John Jonchuck trial involved a juror.

That juror lives in Pasco County, not Pinellas County. The man told the judge he moved to Trinity in December, but answered his jury summons and was surprised his new address wasn't an issue. It is now, and he's been dismissed and replaced with an alternate juror.

Meantime, the jury has heard from another defense psychologist--Dr. Michael Maher, who talked to Jonchuck about the night he dropped his five-year-old daughter Phoebe from the Dick Meisner bridge.

"He told me he remembered dropping Phoebe off the bridge. He remembered feeling that this, somehow, would make her feel safe," said Maher.

Maher says he believes Jonchuck was legally insane at the time of Phoebe's death.
